Bath Rugby and Rhino have announced a two year extension to their long standing Official Supplier Agreement, which will see their partnership continue for the next two seasons.

"The relationship between our company and Bath Rugby goes back further than anyone currently involved can remember" comments Rhino Chief Executive Reg Clark, " and it continues to work very well for both sides - we have accordingly already agreed to extend it until 2010".

Not only was Rhino for its first 25 years of existence based relatively close to Bath in Devon, but the link was strengthened when the son of the longstanding Rhino Managing Director Derek de Glanville, former Bath and England captain Phil, had a long and distinguished career with the club.
"We are delighted to continue our association with Rhino" says Tim Davies, Commercial and Marketing Director of Bath Rugby. "Our coaching staff and players rate the Rhino equipment very highly, in particular the Dictator scrummaging machine which we have used now since its inception. I trust the association will continue for a long time".

Rhino has landed the contract to act as Official Supplier of training equipment to the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa in 2009.

This is the first time Rhino has tendered for a Lions contract - Reg Clark, Chief Executive comments "this contract is a massive breakthrough for Rhino Rugby and is an indicator of our ambitions for our brand". Rhino will be supplying their trademark Dictator scrummaging machines, in current use by England, Wales and Scotland, and other contact and training equipment to the Lions pre tour UK training base and to each training base in South Africa during the tour.

"We are delighted to have Rhino on board in this capacity" said John Feehan, Chief Executive of The British & Irish Lions, "they have a great track record in this product area at international level and we are very confident they will deliver for us".

All at Rhino send their congratulations to Wales on achieving a second Grand Slam in four years.

The Wales scrum did not take a backward step in the 6 Nations tournament and as usual we are not backwards in coming forward to claim some of the credit as Official Suppliers to Wales of their contact equipment and scrummaging machine.

Wales conceded only two tries in the tournament, an astonishing achievement, having honed their defensive skills with the aid of our hit shields, tackle bags and other contact equipment, and as usual Wales used their Rhino Dictator machines to good effect in preparing for their excellent scrummaging Performance.

Wales Forward Coach Robin McBryde commented: "Obviously there are many different contributory factors to winning season and a winning team and I would like to acknowledge our satisfaction with Rhino's scrummaging machines and contact training products. The performance of our scrum and our defensive record on the way to the Grand Slam speaks for itself in this respect".
